Our shop on Bridge Street holds antique, vintage and second-hand jewellery alongside handmade pieces, silver and the occasional watch. Because so much of it has had a life already, no two pieces are the same, and the person opening the box gets something with a story as well as a sparkle.
Come in with a budget and a sense of the person, or bring a photograph of the jewellery they already wear. We will show you what is in today and tell you honestly what suits. Stock changes quickly in December, so an early visit gives the most choice.

A piece made to order or searched for through our network takes time. Talk to us as soon as you have the idea and ask about timings before relying on a date.

A photograph of jewellery they wear, a ring borrowed from their dressing table, or a note of the metal colour they prefer makes choosing much easier.

Before you choose.
Can you make or find something in time for Christmas?
Often, if we start early. Pieces made to order through our makers, and anything we search for through our network, need time, so the sooner you talk to us the more choice there is. Ask the shop about timings for your idea before relying on a date.
How do I choose a ring size as a surprise?
Borrow a ring they already wear on that finger, or trace the inside of it on paper. Many rings can be resized afterwards, so the surprise does not have to be perfect first time. See our ring resizing page for what is involved.
Do you have engagement rings?
Antique, vintage and pre-owned engagement rings pass through the shop, and we can make a ring to your design through our network of makers or search for a particular stone. Call to check what is in today.
Can I give a watch as a gift?
Pre-owned and vintage watches come through the shop from time to time, and our finding service can look for a particular model. Tell us the person, the budget and the style and we will say what is realistic.
Is older jewellery a good gift?
A vintage brooch, locket or ring has a story the person can carry on, and often costs less than an equivalent new piece. Each one is looked over before it goes out and we tell you what we know about it.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Ask the shop. If you would rather the person chose their own piece, a conversation with us is the best place to start.
What are your Christmas opening hours?
Our usual hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9am to 3pm. Festive hours are confirmed with the shop and on our Google listing nearer the time, so call before a special journey.
